Will my kids be out of diapers before I'm in them...?

What's Up ???

Thanks to all you nice people who have emailed to ask "What's Up? Where are you?"

Life has been a little crazy. Well ... to be honest, life is a little crazy around here most of the time ... we've now just added a little more.

Here are the happenings around here ...

**********

We had word about 10 days ago that my daughters teacher has cancer and will be leaving school this week to get treatment. Her prognosis looks good but we are all working to do things for her that we think she will need help with.

**********

We are still getting the house ready to sell. We finally got word Friday that we did not get the job in Austin. But the folks in Austin asked him to interview for another position. So we are remaining hopeful for an Austin move.

**********

A neighbor of ours has complained to the city that we have an annoying barking dog. We suspect who the person is but we are trying to resolve that, too. For the record ... our dogs are never outside unattended, they are in the house at night and when we are gone. This neighbors problem is kids. They are an older couple who moved in to a 5 bedroom home in a neighborhood filled with kids. They have yelled shut up to my kids when they are playing in the backyard ... I know ... lovely.

**********

Jack is fully potty trained and we are officially a diaper free zone. He has had a total of 3 accidents. Once he was confident he could go without a diaper, he never looked back. After about a week, he refused to wear a pull up at night also.

He is the only one of my three kids who gets up at night to go to the bathroom if needed. Both girls will call me (which I have to admit is rare but still they won't go on their own).

**********
That is about it for now. Hopefully, I'll be back on track after our vacation.

Happy Easter Everyone...

I've been missing you, pretty mama! So glad to hear all is well (for the most part)!

I don't even know what to say about the neighbors. It's rare for me to be speechless, but I am. Who yells "shut up" to kids? And an old couple living in house will always boggle my mind... there is this 80 year old couple in the neighborhood across the street from mine (aka, my house is a fraction of the size) and they bought a 10,000 sqft house for the two of them. WHY?

I'll keep praying for you, that the move to Austin works out! And I'll keep the teacher in my prayers.

Have a wonderful week :)

Glad to know you are okay, just busy.

Boo to those neighbors! Hopefully you won't have to have them as neighbors much longer!

What a lot! Congrats on the potty training, and shame on the neighbours!

I'm bummed that Austin Option 1 has fallen through, but here's hoping for Option 2.

Take care. Breathe, if you can find the time. ;)

Girl, share you secret for the potty training...I need some serious help over here. One of the 3-yr olds will go potty only if I remind him to go, otherwise he's just as happy to go in his pants.

The other 3-yr old flat out refuses to even enter the bathroom...won't give potty training a second thought. When I asked him, "Do you like pooping in your pants? You seriously don't mind running around with poop in your butt crack?". He smiled and said, "I don't care". Nice.

OMG, your neighbors are too much! Our next door neighbors rescues homeless dogs and it's not rare for them to have 10 dogs at a time. They all bark round the clock but I made a deal with our neighbor. If our kids screaming and crying and my yelling at them doesn't bother them, then we won't worry about the dogs making noise.

Oh and I've got my fingers crossed that Austin works out for you!

Those neighbors should have researched the neighborhood before moving in!

You have been missed. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter!

Sorry to hear the first Austin job didn't work out. Hopefully the second one will be a match.

What great news that Jack is out of diapers! And how great that he's already night trained too! Buba is showing more interest, so I think we're going to work on potty training again in another week or so (when my husband has another school vacation week).

I hope you had a nice, relaxing weekend!
